Name: Kazzyl “Kaz” Bauer
Age: 28
Occupation: University psychiatrist and Bartholemieu Bertrand's assistant
Affiliation: Bertrand Mafia
Gender: Male
Physical appearance: Kaz stands at 6'1”, with a lean frame and broad shoulders. He's an unknown race which, which left him with three black bands about his lower arm from the wrist up, three from his ankles to his upper calfs, and two encircling his neck. He also holds the Bertrand mark on his right shoulder as a symbol of his commitment to the Bertrand family. His hair is black, cut short in the back with long bangs. His bangs hold a thick strip of sliver in the lower layer, and strips of white hang from either side as well, which he keeps longer than the rest of his hair. This is not a fashion statement, but a further genetic alteration of his race. He has a medium tone to his skin, and grey-lavender eyes.
He dresses in a shirt the ties about his neck, with a lose string hanging slightly lower, and a collar that hangs freely, exposing part of his and allowing the fabric of the upper part of his shirt to fold over itself. It hangs to past his knees. There is no fabric covering his back, only the strings keeping his shirt attached to his body, which ties corset-style at the back, pulling it tight at the waist. The excess string is wrapped several times about his waist. On either side of his shirt hang bands that pull over his upper arms and attach to the collar He wears loose black pants that have a loose opening on either side that hangs similar to the collar of his shirt, and knee high boots his pant vanish into. They hold crossed straps at the ankles, lace almost all the way up, leaving enough room for the tongue to fold over the laces, and a gold metal piece that forms an arch over the tongue. He'll often wear glove-type items that are held in place only by his thumb and don't cover his wrists.
Race: unknown
Personality: While immature at times, Kaz is someone who is very dedicated to his work. He is diligent and can be somewhat overly-diligent. As a result of that, and his close relationship with Barom, he has landed himself a position as not only his secretary, but multiple other unofficial jobs that he'd rather not have. Around most people, he is outgoing and sweet, but can be awkward around people he likes, and may stumble over his words on occasion. He;s often very well perceived, and tries to be polite as possible when in a professional position, most likely due to the brainwashing he received before being placed uinder Barom's command.
However, contrary to how he reacts to other people, around Barom he acts like a bratty teenage boy. He's rude to him, but also loses all professional capability. With him, he is clingy, disrespectful, and pushy. He'll often drag him places with him, but his interest in others often leaves Barom alone at the end of the night.
Strengths: He's strong-willed and dedicated, and his determination, when accessed, provides him with a relentless sense of inner strength. He's a clever person, and has a knack for making things happen. As a child, he would put what he could together, often making toys and other useless items for fun. He'd wanted to be an inventor, and would have done so well.
Weaknesses: He's immature, and will often get sidetracked by things important to him. He'll place all his focus into the tasks that will provide for the protection of what he's interested in keeping safe rather than what's best to concentrate on in that situation. Also, despite his mother aura sensing abilities, he was left powerless. He's also too trusting of others, a feat that has landed him in trouble more than once. He also travels unarmed, despite frequent warnings.
Weapons: He keeps a machine gun in his office as well as a series of handguns in his apartment he'll bring with him when necessary, but he doesn't carry anything on his person regularly.
Background: Kaz's mother was never responsible. Pregnant at seventeen with a child whose father she did not know, she never had a way to support the little boy. Kaz was malnourished and neglected for three years of his life before he was eventually abandoned downtown. He'd been lucky enough to be left near a group of children who shared his fate, but they were older and cruel to him. In his early years,he stayed alone, tinkering with whatever objects he could find to keep himself entertained. It was a wasteful hobby, but it kept him entertained and out of the way.
At six years old, his old companions began dispersing themselves more and more as they grew old enough to live on their own,and Kaz quickly found himself growing higher and higher in authority as he got older, taking in others and protecting him like he wished the others had done for him.
When he was eight, he'd been caught stealing from an elderly gentleman by a member of Bertrand Mafia, and was taken to see Phillipe due to the clever technique by which he'd managed to lure the man's attention away. He was then placed in training, at nine he was required to serve the heir, Bartholemieu Bertrand. He hated Bartholemieu passionately, but he had been ordered to speak only when spoken to, to speak formally and address the boy as sir, and to do everything in his power to keep him safe and happy.
Things continued on like that for two years, but when Kaz was 11, the then fourteen year old Barom disobeyed his father's orders to stay at the house while he went to settle a dispute, and was captured by a rival member. Kaz, of course, had followed him as he went stalking his father, and he again used his talent to escape.
In order to distract his kidnapper, he managed to sneak passed him while he was arguing with his partner over how to tie the knots about the boy properly and stole his gun. Afterward, he took the gun farther out and fired several times by means of distraction, taking it with him in case he'd need it, despite his clumsiness with the weaponry still. While they searched the building for where the commotion had broken out, Kaz took the knife the man had left in the room, cut the rope, and freed the boy.
It was then that Barom had decided, after much breaking of his professional barrier, that they would be friends. It was then that Barom found out all the hatred he'd been suppressing for the spoiled brat, which only made him want him as a friend even more. And eventually, they did grow on one another. Kaz stood by him when his father died and through Emile's control, and eventually through his own rise to power. He became his assistant and pretty much whatever else Barom needed that he wasn't getting from his other employees. He currently resides as the counselor at Medyl University, as they wouldn't offer him any better positions due to his constant workload from Bartholemieu.
Extra information: He holds a bit of a grudge against women since his mom left him and never get's very close to them. As a result, yes ladies and gentlemen, he is gay.
